Mr. Goldberg co-founded Lindsay Goldberg in 2001. Previously, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Private Equity from February 1998 to January 2001. Mr. Goldberg spent a total of 22 years at Morgan Stanley, including the past 17 years at Morgan Stanley Private Equity, where he played an integral role in founding the business in 1984 and building it into a global private equity firm. Mr. Goldberg also played a principal role in the formation and management of Morgan Stanley’s first leveraged equity fund, Morgan Stanley Leveraged Equity Fund, L.P., as well as its successors, Morgan Stanley Leveraged Equity Fund II, L.P., Morgan Stanley Capital Partners III, L.P., and Morgan Stanley Capital Partners IV, L.P. Mr. Goldberg joined Morgan Stanley in 1978 where, alongside Mr. Lindsay, he created the Transaction Development Group, the first business development group devoted strictly to the mergers and acquisitions business at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Goldberg received his B.A. in Philosophy and Economics from New York University. He earned his M.B.A. from the New York University Graduate School of Business and his J.D. from Yeshiva University. Mr. Goldberg is a Director of First American Payment Systems, L.P., Maine Beverage Company, LLC, Continental Energy Systems LLC, Intermex Holdings, Inc., The Brock Group, Inc., Bell Nursery Holdings, LLC, Federal Way Asset Management LP, PetroLogistics L.P., Crane & Co., Inc., PSC, LLC, Panadero Aggregates Holdings, LLC, Aviv REIT, Inc., Pacific Architects and Engineers Inc., Axeon Specialty Products, Intermodal Holdings L.P., Value Place Holdings LLC, and Formation Energy L.P. He also serves as a Trustee of Yeshiva University.
